🌍 Underground Faults Mapped by Hypocenters

The spatial distribution of earthquake hypocenters gives us a rare view into hidden fault structures. The hypocenter catalog follows the relocated dataset presented in Son et al. (2020) .

This animation shows how earthquake epicenters migrated during the 2013 Boryeong offshore swarm. Dots start in dark red and shift to yellow as time progresses. (Son et al., 2015)
